The dancing procession of Echternach is a traditional procession that is held annually on the streets of Echternach, in eastern Luxembourg. This tradition can be traced back to the Middle Ages when the area was dominated by Roman Catholics. A large number of priests, nuns, and monks join the procession which honors Willibrord, the patron saint of Luxembourg.
A huge part of Luxembourg’s pop culture is football just like other European countries. Although they are consistently ranked the lowest scoring European country, the heavy investment of clubs such as Dudelange and the birth of the UEFA Nations League contribute to the popularity.
Language is a complicated in the small country of Luxembourg. Around 70% of citizen’s first language is Luxembourgish. But because their history has changed between German and French rule, Luxembourg now has three official languages: Luxembourgish, German and French.

Moselle Franconia and West Central German are the dialects spoken in Luxembourg. Pidgin language is a simplified language made by people who speak different languages. Creole languages develop into a new combined language. Both of these might be possibilities for how Luxembourgish was developed as a language.
Lingua Franca are languages that are used for common professions such as business, trade, commerce, and pop culture. The younger generations definitely use the English language for pop culture / the internet.
According to a 2010 Pew Research study, seventy percent of the population identify as Christian, 2.3% Muslim, 26.8% Unaffiliated and 0.5% other religions. So, for the most part, the country is primarily Christian.
The religions in Luxembourg are universalizing. Christianity and all their branches tend to appeal to people of all ethnic backgrounds. Luxembourg is a secular state, which explains the amount of Christians, but the Grand Duchy recognizes and supports several denominations.
Christianity emphasizes the believer's justification by God in faith alone and Islam is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion centered around the Quran.
Roman Catholism is a hierarchical religion, due to its well-defined geographical structure and division of territory into local administrative units. However, Islam is classified as an autonomous religion because there is no major central figure of control.
